So...finally have these things going...hopefully I'm using them correctly
Brewery of the week: Station 26 Brewing
January 18, 2014
Since this is a brand new blog I think it's only fair to give some love to one of Denver's newest and most promising breweries. Station 26 is so named because of its location in a former firehouse (although without that little piece of context it does sound a little like a boy band or a group that would open for Jars of Clay).
These guys have already had a pretty strong reputation in the local beer scene and they really nailed their opening line up. In particular, I found the Session Stout to be one of the best local stouts I've had with definite notes of cocoa and a nice nutty aftertaste (take a drink if the use of "Nutty" made you laugh like a ten year old).
One of the best parts of this place was the lack of pretentiousness of everyone who works there. That is not to say that they are not proud of the great beer they make, as they definitely should be. I will be heading back soon, and if you haven't already you should do the same!
Recommended Brews: Session Stout, New World Bitter
