So...finally have these things going...hopefully I'm using them correctly
September Contest: Who’s ready for some riddles?
September 17, 2014
As we go into the second half of the month, I think it’s time to break out the first blog contest of the fall (I know it’s not officially fall until next week, settle down you equinox nerds out there) This month, we are going to do something a little different: I’m going to start by telling you what the prize is, at least in part, to get your attention. Up for grabs is a brewery work shirt, one of the nice ones that head brewers are often seen wearing. These things are usually pretty pricey if you want to buy one in a taproom, so here is your chance to get some swanky beer gear and use that money for a few more pints (or other goodies of your choosing). This contest will require a little brain power and the fortitude to read more blog posts during the rest of the month, which will add to the fun (really, it will):
Here’s how this will work: At the bottom of every post for the rest of the month, I will be posting a riddle related to the brewery that the prize will be from. They will be directly related the brewery or its beers, and there won’t be anything so obscure it can’t be found on the interwebs. The contest will run for the remainder of the month. The first person on October 1st to give me the answer, by either Twitter or the form on the “About” page on the blog, wins the fancy shirt and a pint on me at the brewery that it is from. If you aren’t in the area don’t worry you can still play, I will gladly send the prize to a winner from other places (except for the pint at the brewery, pretty sure that would get a little messy).
I’m looking forward to flexing my mild rhyming skills (I have the rappedy hippedy hop skills of a character from the Big Bang Theory) and coming up with some interesting riddles for you all to solve. Best of luck to everyone looking and I hope you all have fun! Here is your first Riddle:
"In ’93 they started with 3, from 7 barrel size Grundy"
